Donald George Kauffman

Donald "Don" George Kauffman, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 92.
He was born October 14, 1933, in Washington, DC. Two years later the family moved to Hyattsville, MD, where Don completed his early childhood education and graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in 1951. He was accepted at the University of MD, College Park, where he majored in History and English.
After college he was employed at Northwestern High School where he taught History and English. He was named the Supervisor of English when Polly Snouffer retired. He continued in that position for 32 years.
He sponsored a number of student activities and was active in the National Council of Teachers of English until he retired. Memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at
