Donald Maurice Saunders, Sr.  
Entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 16, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Betty Saunders; daughter, Lisa Saunders; eight grandchildren, Toni Garnes-Horsey, LaTasha Saunders, Sherah Saunders, Gary Saunders, LaTieya Sparrow, Robert Sparrow, Jr., Dion Saunders and Daquan Saunders; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Jones, Thelma Edwards and Pamela Bradley; two brothers, Samuel Saunders and Richard Jones; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by his mother, Della Jones; father, Samuel Saunders; two sons, Donald Saunders, Jr. and Gary Saunders; daughter, Sharon Sparrow. Mr. Saunders will lie in state at Fort Foote Baptist Church, 8307 Ft. Foote Rd., Ft. Washington, MD on Tuesday, August 3, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment at Cheltenhan Veteran Cemetery at a later date. www.stewartfuneralhome.com.
