To the Family of Dr. MacCarthy,
I just learned today of Donna's passing when I took my husband to see Dr. Horne. She became my doctor a couple of years ago, and I immediately could see that she was just a wonderful human being. My daughter and I both felt comfortable and at ease with her, as her warmth and friendliness were apparent from the moment we met.
I hope it will give you some measure of comfort to know how much she enjoyed talking about the joy she felt in being a wife and mother. We will truly miss her as she exemplified the qualities that everyone looks for in a doctor.
My deepest sympathy and prayers are extended to you.
Sincerely,
Claudia Offutt Banks

I knew Donna only briefly from a women's circle. In that time, she left an impression of strength, determination and deep love for her family. She had a bright, loving spirit. I know her light will live on with her family and friends. In deepest sympathy, Carol

From the very first time we met Donna, she made us feel like we were old friends. And no matter how many months, or even years, went by, it was so easy to just pick up where we left off. Thank you, Steve, for bringing Donna into our lives. We're just so heartbroken that she was only able to share your life for such a brief time. All our love, Lynne and Jim
