We first met when I had just turned two years old. In our early years we were extremely close, preferring to sleep in the same twin bed rather than our own. That was fine when we were two and four years old, but we finally outgrew that as we got older. As teenagers, when you finally caught up to me in height, we liked to wear identical outfits and pass ourselves off as twins. After our marriages we went our separate ways but we knew that we were just a phone call away. We never failed to call each other on our birthdays even though the dates were only ten days apart. You are missed beyond belief--sisters forever.

I worked with Doris for 6 years at Pulte. She was a delightful person -- friendly, yet shy. I had gotten a Christmas card from her telling me she had bought a house in Frederick. I was hoping that we could finally get together for lunch some Saturday. I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to any of the family at the memorial service. It was a very nice service and tribute to Doris. I am very sorry for your loss but I'm sure her memory will live on in all of you and in those of us who knew her. Sincerely, Paulette (aka Polly, to Doris and my close friends & family, she thought it suited me better).

A wonderful person and a good friend that will be dearly missed. She had kindness and strength that few can surpass and many should emulate.

Words truly can't express how I feel about your loss (there's a first!). Try to remember the special love she had for each of you and allow that memory to take away a bit of your pain and make you smile. Our love is with you!

My grandma was the best that there was. Whether it be waking me up in the middle of the night to challange her to a game of "Life", or her bringing in a big box full of fresh peaches and saying "you better eat those up before your uncles do," she was always there to help us grow up. I will always remember the mornings, afternoons, and nights that we would sit down together and watch "Singing in the Rain" and just sing and dance together. She will be in my heart forever, my thoughts continually, and she will always, always have my love.

Mom,
You were such a wonderful role model for us all. You always carried yourself with dignity and grace, and you were always a friend and mother to anyone who needed it. You have touched many lives, and those who knew you are the better for it. Even though you are in a better place, I am selfish enough to wish that you were still here with us. I miss you terribly. You are my sunshine, Mom. I love you.

I'll never forget all the things Mom taught me over the years. Some things are critical, like always treating everyone with respect (no matter what an idiot they are). Some things were not as important but have meant alot in my life, like growing big fat juicy tomatoes and other vegetables! Mom's love will always be with me and I'll miss Mom more than I can say.
