DOROTHY LACEY BOWLES (Age 79)
On Sunday, May 29, 2011 of Brandywine, MD. Loving mother of Alfred Bowles; beloved sister of Patricia Lacey Coan and her husband, Carl, Jr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Muriel Hartley and her brother, Robert H. Lacey, Jr. Dorothy is survived by 16 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorothy owned and operated Bowles Secretarial Service in downtown Washington, DC for 20 years. Then she worked for the Washington law firm of Caplan and Drysdale until retirement. Family and friends will be received at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue., Bethesda, Maryland 20814 on Wednesday, June 1 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6001 Western Avenue., N.W., Washington, DC 20015 on Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
