Jay, I just found out through Joe Peters. Your mother was a remarkable woman - regrettably I never met her in person, but any woman who can raise a man as fine as her son is someone to treasure.
My mother passed away in May 2009, and I am glad I could spend a week with her in England before she died. I share sympathy and sorrows, my friend.

Sometimes we never understand why things happen when they do. However we know there is a higher power making these decisions, and he decided that it was time for his daughter to come home. I know that my grandmother is now in a better place full of joy and peace, and I am happy for her. However I am filled with pain and sorrow especially for my father who this loss I know has caused him much pain. though I know one day he will see his mother again, until then I pray for strength and peace for him in his heart, as well as everyone else who is hurt and saddened by the loss of my grandmother. She will be missed by many but is in a glorious place.

Love,
Martha
