EDDIE CHALES LOWERY  
Passed away peacefully at age 84, to be reunited with his wife, Savanna Ruth Lowery on June 10, 2018. He was a native Washingtonian born on October 11, 1933 to the late George and Mamie Lowery. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George Lowery, Jr. and James Edward Lowery. He met his lovely wife while stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. Through this union was born two sons, Russell and Bryan and a daughter, Cheryl. He was a Protestant and baptized at an early age in Washington, DC, attended Protestant services on military bases and had a love for old spirituals.Eddie was educated in DC Public Schools and the US Air Force. He served in the Air Force for 23 years where he received many honors and awards for outstanding service. His military assignments took him many places in the US and abroad. He and his family experienced rich cultural experiences, enduring friendships and wonderful memories during these travels. After retiring from the military, he worked for 12 years in the Federal Government in the US Department of Labor as a Reports Program Management Officer. Following his retirement from the US Department of Labor, he became a successful real estate entrepreneur.He leaves to cherish his precious memory, three children, Russell, Bryan and Cheryl; a grandson, Bryan, Jr.; a niece, Lisa Rogers; three sisters; Sylvia (Robert) Green, Elaine (Jimmy) Grant and Daisy Nelson; two brothers; Lawrence (Angie) Lowery and Jerome (Michelle) Lowery; and a host of treasured relatives and friends.Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, June 23 at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722 with a viewing from 12:30 p.m. until time of service 1:30 p.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. www.fort-lincoln.com
