Edgar C. Yates, beloved husband of Juanita Borden Yates of Strasburg, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 19, 2004. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Collier and Pam Filbert, both of Manassas, VA, and one granddaughter, Christina Filbert. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at PRICE FUNERAL HOME, 9609 Center St., Manassas. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Soul's Harbor Church of God, 8900 Portner Ave., Manassas, VA, with Pastor D. Tony Willis and Pastor William Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers or contributions to The American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 Cork St., Suite 405, Winchester, VA 22601 in memory of Edgar C. I knew Eddie from his work at NOVEC. He was always an enjoyable and helpful person, a valued employee. I was sorry to learn of his passing and that I had missed the opportunity to pay my respects in person.

I remember Eddie as a man of GREAT patience and wisdom. I was the first woman to work in the Warehouse at NOVEC, and Eddie was my "mentor". I'm have fond memories of Eddie and am eternally greatful to him for making such a hard transition a good experience.
