Eileen Marchak Brooks

Eileen Marchak Brooks of Bethesda, MD passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was the wife of David Brooks and mother of Michael and Stephen. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Janet Brown of Trenton MI. She is also survived by Jennifer Brown Ferris and nephew Derek Brown. Eileen was born December 29, 1946, in Detroit MI and was raised in Dearborn. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan and later earned a Master's degree at American University. She worked for 37 years for the federal government, most recently as a Division Director in the Office of Child Support Enforcement. Eileen was a lifelong enthusiastic supporter of the U of M, loved to travel, an inveterate reader, and wonderful mother and wife. A memorial service will be held at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, MD on Thursday, December 4 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or to the ALS Association.
