Ellen Ethel Partridge May 30, 1934 - May 8, 2023
Ellen Ethel Partridge (nee Guse) 88, of Arlington, Virginia died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 8, 2023 in Arlington.
Born May 30, 1934 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late William Guse and the late Ethel Guse, and sister to late William Guse and late Charles Guse. She was the wife of Charles D. Partridge, her husband for more than 62 years.
Ellen was born and raised in Chicago. She earned her nursing degree at St Joseph Hospital and graduated as a Registered Nurse from DePaul University. She became a head surgical nurse at Cook County Hospital and later became a psychiatric nurse at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute.
Ellen and Charles lived and worked overseas, including assignments in Belgium and United Kingdom, and developed a lifelong passion for travel, visiting over 50 countries.
Ellen is survived by her husband Charles Partridge, daughter Cynthia Kyser, son Michael Partridge, and four grandchildren. A memorial will be held June 10, at The Jefferson Independent Living Community.
