Elmer Ennis Lumsden Jr.

Born in Fredericksburg, VA July 31, 1939, Elmer went home on June 16, 2025. He is survived by his wife Janet of 65 years; two sons Mark and Terry; 10 grand children, 16 great grandchildren, and two brothers Wayne and Robert.
Elmer started working as a child delivering newspapers and worked all through school up to graduation from James Monroe HS, Fredericksburg, VA. He started with Computer Science in the Government at Dahlgren, VA in 1960, then to NASA in Houston, TX in 1962 and Dept of Defense U.S. Airforce at the Pentagon in 1964 retiring as the Division Chief of the Crisis Management Center in 1997.
He graduated with a Masters of Divinity, Summa Cum Laude from the Evangel Theological Seminary, at the Church at Northern Virginia in 1980.
Visitation with family June 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Jubilee Christian Center, 4650 Shirley Gate Rd., Fairfax, VA with funeral following. Burial will be in Fredericksburg, VA, Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
