ELSA NORRIS Obituary

ELSA E. NORRIS
Elsa E. Norris started her next journey peacefully from her home in Oakton, VA, on Monday, May 25, 2015. Elsa is survived by her husband Allen of 54 years and their children Greg (Catherine), Andy (Nina), and Kate (Cody Nickell), and grandchildren, Gage, Asher, Benjamin, Addison, Noam, and Vaughn. Elsa graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD and at the top of her class at Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA where Elsa and Allen met. In addition to being an extraordinary wife and mother she had a career in public information with the Fairfax Park Authority, County Govt., and Public Schools where she helped launch cable television and Channel 21. Elsa loved to garden, travel, museum hop, and to spend time at the family cottage on the Chesapeake Bay. She co-founded a beloved Book Club that has lasted over 50 years. She was also a 40 year member of Vienna Presbyterian Church, served as a Deacon and especially cherished her small group. Elsa will always be remembered for her enthusiasm and zest for life. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial gift donation to the Lupus Foundation of America (www.lupus.org). A memorial service will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 20 at 11a.m. Online condolences and fond memories of Elsa may be offered to the family at:www.moneyandking.com
