June 8, 1926 - September 20, 2017 Husband to the late Patricia Anne Shea. Father of Michael, Robert, Eric, Sean, Anthony, Mara, Gabrielle, and Sheridan. Grandfather of Catalina, Eric, Otto, Natasha, Sai, Sophia, Aisslynn, Tristan, Saskia, Tor, Elijah, Joshua, Mary, Xavier. Greatly missed and always in our hearts .

Twenty years ago today you gathered in a symposium a hundred scholars from various disciplines across Asia-Pacific academes - to share their thoughts on what the region would be like in the dawning of the 21st century. Focused on major challenges and prospects for resolution of regional conflicts and rapid pace of urbanization. Today, we are living witnesses for what you and they foresaw. The visionary in you Eric being in the forefront of cultivating US-China relations and amity between DPRK and the rest of Asia as determining factors to ensure peace and stability in the region is a legacy perspective withstanding the test of times.
