Gosh, where do I begin? Eric and other class members went to a class field trip to Glen Echo...I won't give U the details, but....about 35-40 years later, he STILL recalled the details. I knew Eric from Jr. High to some years in RMHS and always was amazed at his wit. I will not ever forget him.

I was a classmate of Eric's prior to his accident and was saddened to hear of his passing. I can't remember how I learned he was an accomplished artist; it took great courage to make the best of a personal tragedy such as his.
My sympathy to both his wife and his surviving family.

Dear Kermit and Rita,
I attended Eric's memorial service Saturday and want you to know how touched I was. What an amazing life he lived touching so many along the way. Eric attended my wedding in 1987 in Arlington, VA as my sister's guest. I got to know him and his work and have many pieces of his which I've placed on the mantel and will keep there throughout the season in remembrance of Eric. I will be visiting Eric's Gallery soon and will be thinking of you. My mother was a member of RPC and Kermit knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Having Eric as our friend for 45 years has added much to our lives. He was my hero, as I told him often. With the wonderful care of his parents and Rita he lived a life filled with many accomplishments. We will miss our phone conversations and frequent visits. Through the paintings in our home we will feel his presence always. May he walk in peace

Although Kermit is the only family member I know well, I just wanted to send my thoughts and prayers to all of you.

Kermit. Don't know what to say except my thoughts, love and prayers are with you. I started working for Kermit the year Eric had his accident. He and Evelyn were the most loving, caring parents in the world. They took care of Eric 24 hours a day and when Kermit came to work he was the most even tempered and didn't show that he was sleep deprived or he had all the weight on his shoulders. Just know "I'm thinking about you".

How would I define Eric? He was kind generous, humble, funny, loving, talented beyond words and so much more. I feel honored to have been his friend for 20 years and honored to have worked with him. His courage always made me feel humble, his love for his wife Rita was beautiful, and his paintings were spectacular. He will live on in the hearts of so many of us and he will never be forgotten as he left behind his legacy, his work. I will miss him everyday and be grateful for so many lessons he taught me without even knowing he was doing it. To you Rita, all my love. Everyday look up, knowing that Eric is watching over you and still loving you forever. He never knew how much impact his work had on others, I know that now as he watches us he will realize that impact and be so very proud. I will miss you Eric and I will watch over Rita for you....be happy.
