Erika Lewis Obituary
Of Springfield, VA, on Saturday, July 24, 2004. Erika was the beloved daughter of Berlin and Patsy Lewis; sister of Stefan and Tena Lewis and girlfriend of Jonathan Dunn. Visitation will be held at DEMAINE SPRINGFIELD-ANNANDALE CHAPEL, Backlick and Edsall Rds., Springfield, VA on Friday, July 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 31 from 11 a.m. until noon, when the memorial service will begin. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made in memory of Erika Lewis to the National Foundation for Depressive Illness, Inc. (www.depression.org) or the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (www.narsad.org).

My girl, another birthday, another year, and if mom's poor math skills are correct, you've now been gone longer than you were with us. It still hurts, dulled but it flares up sometimes. I went shopping, because we always went shopping on your birthday. Keeping that tradition alive, it's a small thing but I kind of have to do it..because it's your birthday. Still miss you. My Birthday Girl. Having some similar health issues to that last July we shared and it reminds me more and more of that year and my girl. I miss you. Did my yearly shopping trip to get something I thought you would like - bought a pink flower paperweight and a pretty blue crystal heart. Wish we'd had more time together.

Another birthday. Sorry to be late making the entry, just know that I ALWAYS think of you on your day. Was in Carrabba's at lunch and they played a 311 song and I thought, yes, that's for my girl. Your brother and his daughter (your niece!) will be flying down to see us on Thursday - know you would have enjoyed the family get-together. Uncle Julian, Amber, Courtney, and Courtney's girls will be stopping by on Sunday afternoon, visiting & enjoying the pool. You would love it. Fran & Linda visits will be during the week, before Stef & A return home. You are with us in spirit, my love. Always.

Happy Birthday, Baby. Ten years ago today we went out and got our first tattoos - because that's what you wanted to do for your birthday. I took you out for a late lunch after, and bought you your first legal drink. You were happy and 21 - who knew how much things would change. Having not seen Erika since the late 80's, my memories of her are and have always been of a young energetic girl of perhaps 5 years of age constantly running around the sidelines during my brother's soccer games. Such energy and life. You couldn't seem to get her to sit still for a moment. My wife and I send our sincere regrets and condolences to the Lewis family.
