Everett Pearson
Reverend Everett Pearson passed away on August 23, 2022 at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia. He was born October 2, 1960 in Washington D.C. and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on November 17, 1991 at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle, Washington, D.C. Through the years, Father Person was assigned to Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Takoma Park, MD, Saint Matthias Parish, Lanham, MD and Assumption Parish, Washington, D.C. before becoming Pastor of Holy Name Parish, Washington, D.C. and since 2009, Pastor of Mount Calvary Parish and Administrator of Holy Spirit Parish, Forestville, MD. Father Pearson was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Pearson, and by his brother, Anthony Pearson. He is survived by his sister, Camilla Pearson; Aunts, Frances Pearson, Clara Voss and Esther Thompson; and an Uncle Charles Pardue; and a loving host of family, friends and colleagues. The Vigil will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Mount Calvary Church, Forestville, MD from 3 to 7 p.m. with the Vigil Mass at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral will take place at Mount Calvary Church on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.

The loss of Fr. Everette Pearson is felt by many. We will remember him always and often. We worked together with the students at St. Benedict the Moor; he officiated over Donald's and my 30th Wedding Anniversary, and helped me with students at Archbishop Carroll High School. A most dependable friend.

Everrett, And I Go Back 50 Years To Our Days At Nativity Catholic Church/Elementary School. He Always Looked Out For His Fellow Sister, And Brother. Father Pearson , you were more than a priest to me. You were an older kid that sometimes walked with me and my siblings to school. You were my basketball coach at Nativity. You were a young adult advisor when I was in the teen club. You were instant offense in pick up basketball games and the best driver Rock Creek Park has ever had on its roads. I have known Father Everett since the day he baptized me. He was a wonderful man with much love to share and a big heart; I always distinctly remember him playing and singings songs during Mass. When I was little, my friends and I would go up and give him a hug during Peace. He will be missed. My condolences are with the rest of our Parish and his Family.
