So sorry to learn that Faye passed. She was a fine person who for me was always a source of kindness, encouragement, and help. It was an honor and privilege to know her. My deepest sympathies and condolences to Seth, mensch and college friend, and Faye's entire family.

Faye was my dear 7th grade English teacher. I fondly remember our weekly Friday assignment to write a short story with all our vocabulary words and to read it to the class, as well as going camping at her farm. Her warmth and love of her students was deeply genuine. Faye will be remembered long into the future.

I must have been one of Faye´s earliest middle school and English students at Edmund Burke School in 1975, and find myself at a loss for words to declare how powerfully and deeply those years with her enriched my later life.
I believe, after a few decades of reflection, that she saw a spark of creativity deep inside me and took every opportunity to fuel, nurture and encourage it - just as she did with all her students. From the combined weekly vocabulary lists and creative writing assignments using the newly learned words to the introduction of authors and works that changed the way we saw the world and our place in it, she both taught and formed us.
Sincerely, I don´t believe I would be the man I am today without having had Faye Moskowitz as my teacher as a boy. All I can offer are recognition and gratitude. My only regret is she did not live long enough to see my first novel, due out in July 2022, dedicated to her.

Faye was a beautiful soul and incredible human being. I thought I knew her history from her readings at the Writers Retreat, yet I continue to be impressed by the richness of her history and efforts on behalf of so many. She will be missed, she is loved.
