FERN CARPER Obituary
FERN GAYLE CARPER (Age 80)
Of Potomac, MD, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2014, at Potomac Manor Nursing Home. Born January 28, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to Maryland with her family in 1971. She was a loving wife, doting and dedicated mother, artist and author of the children's book: "Pete The Toad". Fern is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Robert S. Carper; daughter, Pam Orlando and husband, Paul, of Columbia, Md; son, Bruce Carper and wife, Victoria, Gaithersburg, Md; four grandchildren, Brandon S. Plakas and wife Kerianna of Jefferson, Md; Kristen M. Plakas and partner, Nick Bargmann of Damascus; Sean M. Carper and Madalyn J. Carper, Gaithersburg, MD; and former son-in-law David Plakas of Middletown, MD. Private services previously held. Memorial donations may be made in Fern's name to: HFBS c/o Jewish Social Service Agency 200 Wood Hill Road Rockville, MD 20850.
