FLORENTINO A. PAUNIL (Age 93)
On Friday, December 28, 2012, of Gaithersburg, MD formerly of Aberdeen, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary Sleeth Paunil; devoted father of Dolores E. Paunil (Ben Lieberman), Douglas E. Paunil (Faith), Daryl E. Paunil (Kathy), and Donald E. Paunil (Jackie); grandfather of Drew, Amanda, Erin, Josh, Ben, and Emma; brother of Gregorio Paunil (Marino). He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Philippine Scout Division of the US Army. He was a survivor of the Bataan Death March and a former P.O.W. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Friday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Colesville United Methodist Church, 52 Randolph Road, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
