FRANÇOISE CHRISTIANE   FRATACCI AGGREY  
Died Wednesday April 27, 2016. She was born October 25, 1934 in Paris, France. She was the oldest of three children of architect Georges Fratacci and ballerina Chistine Sylvie Burla. Her sisters preceded her in death. She went to a boarding school run by Jesuit nuns in the south of France. During World War II, she and her family were forced to live in an underground shelter for many months. As a young woman, she moved to Paris and apprenticed at a fashion house. She moved back to Nice and worked as an accountant for the city.On November 5, 1966, she married the love of her life Ambassador Orison Rudolph Aggrey, who died just three weeks before her. They traveled the world together. She helped people wherever she went doing things like teaching a sewing classes for women in Senegal. Her greatest accomplishments were behind the scenes, keeping a beautiful home, doing things to support her husband's career and raising their daughter. François had a passion and talent for design and fashion. She loved to sew and could recreate anything from the latest fashion magazine. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Roxane Rose; daughter-in-law, Téaura T. Rollock and numerous relatives and friends.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wedneday, May 4, 2016. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC. Guest are invited to a reception at the funeral home immediately following. A guest registry may be found at: www.everlywheatley.com
