Ms.MacFall was my ESL teacher when i was in 4th and 5th grade at Key School in 1991-1992. She was very caring with each of her students and had lots of patience with us. We gave her a hard time because all of us couldn't speak English at all. Ms. McFall was a huge part of my life if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be able to write this message today. She taught me how to read, write and speak english. I stayed in touch with Ms. McFall since 1991 until the last days of her life, because my mother worked for her cleaning her house, and Ms. McFall was always there when ever we needed her help. She will be missed greatly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the McFall family in Frances' death. She was a vital and much respected member of The Palisades Community Church.

Frances was my neighbor for eight years. She was like a mother to me and grandmother to my two children, Josh and Erin. We often took lovely walks where she would recount her many memories of the Pailsades neighborhood and "who was doing what." She gave me so much advice from things like breastfeeding to how to be a good parent to what to wear. She was instrumental in helping my son learn to read, and for that, we will all be eternally grateful! We shared recipes and how-to's. I was shocked to learn she was sick as she was always so fit and full of life. I am deeply saddened by her death. I will remember her and miss her.

I worked under Frances as an Instructional Aide and she had me work small groups and work them hard. A few years later I came back as a teacher and she treated me as an equal, when others did not, and taught me how to look for each student's strength. We shared a very small room and I know she thought I was crazy at first, but she put up with me, and I think we learned a lot from each other. Later, when I was homeless and alone, she took me in and took care of me, and I have tried to pay forward her kindness ever since. Frances was a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. I am glad and proud she touched mine. (I hope my grammar and punctuation is acceptable Frances)
