FRANK MICHAEL

FRANK CHRIS MICHAEL (Age 91)  
Of Alexandria, VA, passed away on August 3, 2018. He was born on November 5, 1926 and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Greek immigrant parents. He served his country in the Korean War. Frank graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and received a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan. Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time between Alexandria, VA and Sarasota, FL.  Frank Michael is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Kathleen Michael. He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Dr. Beckie Michael and Dr. John Nutaitis, Dr. Christina Michael and Dr. Manny Silis, and Martha Boneta and John Boneta, Esq. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Alexandra Caroline, John Michael, Katerina Stephanie, Sophia Maria and Joel Fotis. Visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on Sunday, August 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion prayer service at 7 p.m. Frank will lie-in-repose from 10 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 13 at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA 22041. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Katherine's Church.
