With great sadness, I learned about Dr. Simpon's passing today, July 17, 2024. Dr. Simpson was a houshold name in the mid-1970's and 1980's. My mother sought his help for emotional issues she carried for years an an Army wife. I met Dr. Simpson then, when I came to Northern Virginia after my Army enlistment. My mother had such incredible respect for him. She looked up to him for his wisdom, insight, perspective, guidance and compassion. He helped my mother through some very difficult times. When I met him for myself, I immediately understand my mothers feelings about him. He was larger than life, in the most humble way. He earned my immediate respect as well. On behalf of my mother, Blanche Marshall, I am forever grateful for the treatment, comfort and support he graciously gave her. How to you thank someone that showed such intense care and concern for one's own mother? It's impossible. Dr. Simpson was a powerful force for good and joy in my mothers life. I pray that God continue to bless his wife and family for all the good he gave of himself to help others. With the highest respect and gratitude. Robert Marshall
