FRANKLIN M. SCHULTZ  June 16, 1917 - July 27, 2012  
On Friday, July 27, 2012 Franklin Schultz passed away in his home in Hollin Hills, Fairfax County, VA, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers. At 95, Frank lived a long, active, and full life as a husband, father, and grandfather. Among other activities, he enjoyed sailing, playing tennis, biking, and spending time with his family. He practiced law in Washington, DC, specializing in securities and administrative law, and taught as a law professor. A graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School, Frank married Jean Carol Barnett in 1946, ten days after returning from service in Europe as a captain in the Army. Jean passed away in 1981. In 1983, he married Virginia Henderson with whom he spent many adventure-filled summers in Nantucket, MA. He is survived by his wife Virginia Schultz, his four children, Bill, John, Kathy, and Caroline Schultz, and their spouses, Sari Horwitz, Teri Ruch, David Paul and Matt Seltzer, three stepdaughters Anita, Susan and Sophie Henderson, nine grandchildren Nora, Danny, Josh, Erica, Rachael, Jenna, Robbie, Talia, and Stephen.  A memorial service will be held at Adas Israel Synagogue in Washington, DC, 2850 Quebec Street, NW on Tuesday, July 31 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Obama Presidential Campaign at www.barackobama.com or the Nantucket Land Council at www.nantucketlandcouncil.org
