GARY McKENNEY GASKINS, SR.
On May 6, 2015, Gary McKenney Gaskins, Sr., age 66, died with his beloved wife of 38 years, Sandra, by his side. Survived by his children, Kari Gaskins McDonough (Gerard), Gary McKenney Gaskins, Jr. (Quondra), Craig Gaskins, Deshaun Hall, Angelique Downs (Gerard), and Justin Elliott; sisters, Gail Clark and Carol Morrison (Jim); Uncle James Gaskins, six grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation May 12, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Snowden Funeral Home, 246 N. Washington St., Rockville, MD. May 13 viewing 10 a.m., service 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church 13611 Laurel Bowie Rd., Laurel, MD.

I remember Gary from my very early days as a child,age 4. In Twinsburg Ohio. He was one of my older cousin best friends. I loved the family store, I was in there several times a day to buy Candie! I have lived in Los Angeles California for over 40 years but I still remember Gary his beautiful sisters and Mr and Mrs Gaskins from my early childhood. May he rest in Peace. My deepest condolences to Gary's family. I was telling my sister Liz how proud I was when Gary was my substitute teacher at Nathan Hale Jr. High many years ago in Cleveland. Like his father in Twinsburg Gary was a blessing to me. May God comfort your hearts.

My deepest condolences to all of Gary's family. I am heartbroken to lose a life-long friend. He was a dear friend and neighbor from childhood in Ohio. We went to school together and were teammates on the football field, in track, basketball, and baseball. An especially versatile athlete, he was fun to play with. Gary was as close as a brother to me in our early years. I had the distinct opportunity to speak to him a week prior to his passing. We shared our love for each other and a common love for our Lord and Savior. He will be missed, but as long as we have the memories, he will last a long time. Sincerely,
