GEORGE WORTHINGTON AWKARD, SR. "Paddy"
Born in Olney, MD on November 9, 1933, and entered heaven on August 17, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, residing in Brookeville, MD. George leaves to carry on his memory his wife of 48 years, Blondie J. Awkard; his children Lela Jackson (Sherry), George W. Awkard, Jr. "Butchie", and Phyllis Awkard. He also leaves his brother Cornelius "Chummy" Awkard, and sister Grace "Ting" Breedlove. His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Sharp Street United Methodist Church, 1310 Olney-Sandy Spring Rd, Sandy Spring, MD. Viewing at 10 a.m., Services at 11 a.m. Internment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Snowden Funeral Home. www.snowdencares.com
