Taunya Queen Melendez

My name is Taunya Queen-Melendez. I´m am George´s first cousin. My father Robert was the half brother of George´s mother, my precious Aunt Lila. I didn´t get to spend much time with George, but he and his wife did welcome me into their home on one of my visits to Washington DC. Although that visit was over 50 years ago, I still remember how I admired my sophisticated, intelligent, well spoken cousins. I definitely looked up to them and wanted to be like them. I also remember the fun. George teased me because he said I spoke so properly. "She´ll fit in here just fine," He said with a laugh. My deep regret now is that life so disconnected us. To the extent that I am just finding out about George´s passing and the services the day after his home going. I want the family to know that my prayers are with you!

Rest good Dear Brother in-law, you will be sorely missed. May God's light shine on you eternally. I have *always* enjoyed being in your company, and sharing the crazy humor and laughter you brought. Unforgettable!
I will see you later Bruh!
God bless this family.
