Geraldine A. Finnegan "jERRI" (aGE 100)
Geraldine A. Finnegan of Catonsville, MD passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Charlestown Senior Living Community. She was born in Wilson, NC in 1921, daughter of the late Willard and Effie Amerson.After high school she moved to Washington, DC and got a job at Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co.She met, fell in love and married James M. "Bucky" Finnegan. Their greatest love was spending time with family and friends. Jerri enjoyed traveling, bowling, and dancing. After moving to Charlestown, she enjoyed many activities there and volunteered whenever she could.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her daughter Beverly J. Finnegan, her two brothers Willard and James Amerson and great grandson James M. "Jay" Finnegan.She is survived by her son James M. "Jim" Finnegan (and Linda), grandchildren Jimmy and Kelly Finnegan and great grandchildren Daren Finnegan and Payton Lawson.A viewing will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on September 18, 2021 at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd., Brentwood, MD with a graveside service immediately following at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local American Legion or VFW Post.

Sorry to hear Mrs. Finnegan passed. She was my neighbor on Harrison Ln. She was so strong. She did most of her own lawn work. She kept a beautiful yard. Not surprised she lived to be 100 years old.
