Gregory Wayne Spalding "greg"  
Gregory Wayne Spalding "Greg", 70, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home. Born September 28, 1950, in Washington, DC, Mr. Spalding was the son of the late Maurice Anderson Spalding and Ester Victoria (Morgan) Spalding. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Victoria Ann Echleberger; and his brother, Paul Graham Spalding. A United States Naval Veteran, Greg earned his Degree in Sociology from Florida Southern College and retired from the United States Postal Service as Postmaster at the Garrett Park, MD, Post Office and was a Carrier in Rapid City, SD. Greg is survived by his stepson, James Chipley "Jim" and wife, Sarah; his sister: Catherine Loop; and his brother: Garland Spalding and wife, Patricia. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew: Michelle Ann Spalding, Paula Spalding Pare; Paul Graham Spalding, II; Bryan Loop; Kimberly Loop; Johanna Brode; Scott Ross; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Per Greg's wishes, he is to be cremated with a private graveside service at a later date. The Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) is handling arrangements.
