Although he never knew it, Dr. Hirsch inspired me to learn to blow the shofar. To the family, know that his gift to inspire lives on. May his legacy be a blessing now and forever.

Along with his admirable determination and exasperating attention to detail, one of the most wonderful things about Hans was his easy and frequent expression of utter delight and joy, counteracting entirely what could seem by appearance to be a stern personality.
