I knew Hal for a few years when I worked at Arnold. He amazed me with his seemingly endless energy and his incredible work ethic. In fact, he put the "youngsters" in our office to shame.
Even though I come from a family of people who live to be well into their 80s and 90s, Hal helped change my perceptions of older folks. I respect and honor the older generation far more than I once did because of him.
And, who can forget those colorful socks he used to wear!

Hal always brightened my day when I saw him at daily mass and sometimes even at Weight Watchers! That always made me laugh. I trust that family and friends will treasure their memories of Hal all the more now, for certainly he was/is a treasure.

I have already missed seeing Hal in the St Bartholomew's congregation. With sympathy to the family,

Hal was wonderful! He was one of my best memories from BBDO-SF! I'm in Jamaica, W.I. or I'd be there on the 16th.
