Harriet Brown Obituary
HARRIET HOOVER BROWN (Age 90)
Of Washington, DC passed August 23, 2022. The first child of Florence Gantt and Thomas L. Hoover, Harriet attended Dunbar High School, class of 1949. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical psychiatric social work from Howard. Later, she added administration and supervision qualifications from University of Pennsylvania. Harriet started at Crownsville State Mental Hospital. She is survived by her son Rodney and his wife Liz, brother Thomas Hoover, sister Rheba Terrell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. No Services scheduled.

Harriet was my friend from water aerobics classes. She stood so tall and straight and beautiful. You could not believe she was in her late 80s. She was on many boards and committees throughout her life, contributing so much to her profession and community. We are saddened by her loss. May she rest in peace.
