Oh, my, a neighborhood legend has taken his last walk and wave among us, his neighbors. What a joy it was to see Harry and Emmy on their daily walk. He always made me smile as he walked backwards up our little hill on Gaines St. I shall always see him in my mind's eye with a big smile and enthusiastic wave. He brought much joy as they made their daily rounds. I will miss him and hope Emmy can continue to walk and wave. May Emmy and the family be comforted by the joy and happiness he brought to our neighborhood. He made a difference. May God bless you on your grief journey and comfort you with the wonderful years Harry lived among us.

My mind will forever see you both walking together, in line, sometimes backwards, many times talking with neighbors - and always more fit than me. The simple friendship and companionship you gave to each other was mighty touching and prompts me to emulate that with my husband.
Your presence is so special to us. I hope you know how loved you are, Emmy; you and Harry are truly one of a kind. I am grateful for having you as neighbors.

Emmy and family - Such sad news and I am truly sorry for your loss. Harry (and you) are wonderful, friendly and kind, and clearly were each other´s best friends. The waves, the smiles, doodle pulling me along when he saw you both from a distance, knowing he was getting treats, and yes, even you noting that I needed to drop a few pounds. Your smiling faces would be everywhere; in our neighborhood always, but I would see you far from home as well. All that will be missed and more. But I won't miss the memories that I will keep.
My sincere and deepest condolences on your loss. May your memories of all of the good times give you strength in the day ahead.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely -
