Henry Jiles Obituary
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Rick graduated from Dunbar HS in Washington, DC and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Delaware State. Following school and the US Army, Rick worked for the US Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner in the Chemistry Unit. He retired in 1987 after 30 plus years having reached the level of Patent Supervisor.
Rick is survived by his wife of 66 years Marjorie Meggison Jiles, son Henry "Hank" Jiles, daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Jiles and brother Robert Jiles.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 19 at 10 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 4850 Blagden Ave., NW, Washington, DC, and followed by a 11 a.m. memorial service with repast immediately following. Arrangements by McGuire.
