HERBERT DRUMMOND
On March 25, 2014. Born March 18, 1936, in Lyman (Spartanburg County), South Carolina, to Herbert and Georgia Vernon Drummond. Survivors include wife, Betty; children, Michele (Ben) Collman, Michael (Jane) and Marcia Drummond; step-children, Lynette (Kevin) Justice, Julie (Kenneth) Crawford and Reed (Drusilla) Collins; grandchildren, Donovan and Zoe Drummond, Brittny Justice, Nicole and Maya Crawford, Dariane Garland and Aubree Collins; and siblings, Willie (Lavern), Percy (late Rosa), Sylvia (late Jay) Brooks, and Betty Harvin; ex-wife, Marlene Drummond; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents and siblings, William "Hoover" Drummond (late Elaine) and Lillian (late Carl) Colter. Funeral services will be held at Faith Ministries Church, 2747 Agler Road, Columbus, OH 43224, Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m.; wake one hour prior. Caliman Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements.

I was a physical education major at Central State University when Herb Drummond was there! He was a great teacher, coach, and mentor. A gentle and kind human being with a big warm smile to match. God, bless his family and friends with strength and peace during this difficult time. Amen

Betty,
Just wanted to extend my deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear husband.
You probably don't remember me, but I recall fondly our time working together at the Ohio Department of Education. You more likely remember my mother, Fanny Schulte, who worked at the department with you for many, many years. While Mom passed away nearly two years ago now, I am sure she would want me to send her condolences as well.
Take care of yourself and know that many, many people are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

Herb will always be remembered as a good friend, a strong leader for health and fitness, and for his sense of humor. We sure had some good times together at Department Retreats and dinner parties. I was surprised to learn, while chatting with him, that he had played the violin in school! What a guy!
