I as well just heard of Dr. Posner's passing through the Binghamton magazine. He was a wonderful professor! He made Biology interesting. His gentle voice and witty charm made learning fun. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! God Bless

My apologies for just hearing of Dr. Posner's passing in a recent Binghamton magazine. He was one of my favorite professors and because of his influence, I went on to graduate school to study interactions between animals and plant environments. He certainly influenced the course of my life. So sorry for your loss.

I only just found out, and like you I am heart-broken. Although he started as my professor 'Dr. Posner', he became my friend and advisor Herb, and although we didn't even live in the same state for decades, he somehow let me be a part of his family. Thank you Rita (and the entire Posner clan) for sharing him. I can't find words to say how sorry I am for your loss.

I truly enjoyed all of the time I was able to spend with Mr. Posner in my office. I will miss all of our conversations as well as the wonderful salmon recipes he would bring to me to share. Rest in peace.

Rita and family, I know that you knew how special a man Herb was. You were blessed to share you lives with him. The world is a lesser place without Herb. God bless you all.
