HOPE PHILLIPS Obituary

HOPE N.F. PHILLIPS
Hope N.F. Phillips passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 91 in Washington, DC, on January 22, 2015. She and her deceased spouse (Dr. Robert A. Phillips) spent over half their lives overseas (primarily in Egypt and Taiwan). The part of her career in which she doubtless took the most pride was her time as an educator (teacher, college counselor, and principal) at the Taipei American School. She also worked for the U.S. government and for ABMAC (a medical education non-profit) before moving back to the U.S. about ten years ago. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her brother, six children, and eleven grandchildren. As was her explicit wish, no memorial or funeral services will be held. Condolences may go to [email protected], or to Hope Phillips, 7607 Lauralin Place, Springfield, VA 22150. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hope N.F. Phillips Scholarship Fund, http://www.tas.edu.tw/page.cfm?p=470, or to Hamilton College's Captain Gerald F. Dale Senior Scholarship fund https://my.hamilton.edu/makeagift .

Phillips family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Take comfort in the memories you have of and with her. May all you find hope in the fact that she lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life of 91 years (Ps 90:10). My prayers are with the entire family.

Hope Phillips was part of my life when I was around 5-6 years of age. I don't remember much from those years, but I have good memories of TAS and she was part of TAS. Thank you for sharing her with us.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)
