Horacio Cobo

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Horacio Cobo, 84, of Wheaton, MD, passed away. Beloved husband of 58 years to Maria Cobo; devoted father of Diana Cobo; loving grandfather to Marin Cobo; dear brother of Cira Cobo; brother-in-law to Yolanda Cobo; and uncle/father figure to Marisa Schellin and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Maria "Mima" and Francisco Cobo; brothers Eradio "Pancho" Cobo and Hector Cobo; sisters Eucalia Cobo, Julia Guedes (Alfredo), Ofelia Fundora (Ramon), and Josefina "Fefa" Cobo. He worked as a banquet waiter and retired after 40 years from Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC. He was the rock of our small family and loved by many. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, a memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2900 Olney Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at Montgomery Country Club, 20908 Golf View Drive, Laytonsville, MD 20882, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please RSVP to Diana Cobo at dcredsox@gmail.com for friends and family that will be attending the reception after the Mass.
