HUBERT LEE CAVE, III "BUTCH"
On Wednesday, February 17, 2016. The beloved son of Hubert "Sonny" and Carol Cave; brother of Diane Cave, Jean (Dale) Teetsell and Nancy Basham; uncle of Michael Staples, Jr. and Raquel Cave. Friends are invited to celebrate Butch''s life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 22 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. Inurnment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122. An online guestbook is available at:www.KalasFuneralHomes.com

I had the very good fortune to meet Butch through racing. He trained 12 of my horses and his picture with those horses in the winner's circle hang proudly in my home and office. I never met a more genuine or decent man than Butch. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
