Dr. Leblanc taught me introductory political science in 1959. He was an amazing professor-I can still see him walking up & down the podium, coat open & flicking cigarette ashes. Just the best. Jack Cohen, ba,63, jd,66

Hugh LeBlanc taught the freshman American Government course I took, half the undergraduate courses I took, directed my MA thesis and my Ph. D. dissertation. In addition to instructing me, he inspired me. And through me, another generation of political scientists. We remained lifelong friends.

I am so thankful for Professor LeBlanc's wonderful lectures on government and leadership but most of all he was very kind to me as a nervous undergraduate. He was a wonderful professor who demonstrated patience and understanding. My interest and eventual career in government and public policy is in large measure the result of what I acquired in his classes. God bless his soul.
