On July 22, 2004, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Lori Shoemaker and their children Michael Harry Horan and Elizabeth Hume Horan; three children from his previous marriage, Alexander Hume Horan, Margaret Horan Bond, and Jonathan Theodore Horan; four grandchildren and his sister, Leyla Brennan. Services will be held on Friday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 3115 P St. NW, Washington, DC, followed by burial at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery (meet at administration building by 1:30 p.m.). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
