IRIS LYNN SKINNER "Holly"
Iris Lynn "Holly" Skinner, beloved wife, mother, and daughter passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis MD. The Memorial service for Iris Skinner will be Friday, September 4 at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden- Ministry Center, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD. The Gathering begins at 10 a.m. and the Memorial Service begins at 11 a.m. She leaves to cherish her memory loving husband (Calvin), devoted children (Morgan Rose, Madison Lily, and Matthew Calvin), mother (Margaret Ann Holly), brother (Michael Holly) and a host of many relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to the Skinner Education Trust Fund, c/o Calvin Skinner, 14107 Jones Bridge Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.

My heart goes out to you, Skinner and Holly family. I was a former class mate of Iris, and saddened to just hear of your loss. She was a wonderful and beautiful young woman then, and it appears that character and beauty had carried on. Wishe'd I could have had the opportunity to share some of your smiles Iris, in recent years. I am so saddened of us losing Iris's presence. I use to work with her in Columbia, MD. I remember one day seeing her in the hallway and said "my she looks familiar", I finally asked her if she went to First Baptist of Glenarden. We connected from that point and checked in on each other at work periodically. I remember talking with her when she took her position at the church. She was diligent and dedicated, and I will miss that big smile.

My heart is heavy right now with the loss of Iris she was like a sister to me. My grandmother helped to raise her while her Mom worked. She will be truly missed.
