Jacquelin Sprague Obituary

Born on December 11, 1974 in Lima, Peru, she succumbed to pancreatic cancer after several months of demonstrating courage and fighting hard. Jackie was surrounded by her family as she drew her last breath on Thursday October 9, 2025. At 50 years old she was a mother of two: Gabriella Ellyse (21) and Trevor Rhys (16), wife to William Michael Sprague, daughter of Betty Valentina Feria and Victor Manual Gutierrez, big sister to Lizett Justa Gutierrez, half sister to D'angelo Victor Gutierrez and Lucchezi Roman Gutierrez; and sister cousin to countless. From a young age she loved to sketch which led to dreams of becoming an architect, choosing instead to be hands on and foster a career in building construction management. Jackie led by example and accomplished "firsts" in her immigrant family: graduating high school, attending and graduating out of state college, having a religious wedding ceremony, and first to pass this life with dignity. Jackie loved to laugh, watch movies, admire art, enjoyed great meals (especially at El Pollo Rico), spending time with her family, and she enjoyed a range of music. For her 50th birthday, she enjoyed witnessing the Cliffs of Dover with the love of her life and companion of over 30years, Will. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends in November around her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Her final resting place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Washington, DC.
