JAMES CHRISTOPHER BATEMAN JR. "Chris"
James Christopher "Chris" Bateman, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully at Southern Maryland Hospital Center on November 27, 2022. Born in Washington, DC to the late James (Sr.) and Dorthea Bateman, he enjoyed a 30+ year career as a cook at establishments including the Holiday Inn, Hotel Washington and the National Zoo in Washington, DC. Chris will be dearly missed by his wife Sandra, son James C. Bateman III, grandchildren as well as friends and relatives around the world. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022. 10 a.m. Viewing, 11 a.m. Service. Henson Valley Christian Church, 1900 Tucker Rd., Fort Washington, MD.
