JAMES PLEASANT BURRELL (Age 93)
On Wednesday December 6, 2023, James Burrell, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving sons David Burrell and Charles Burrell (Dawn); two granddaughters, Candace and Charisma; three great-grandchildren, Sa'Maria, De'Angelo and Trinity. He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 64 years, Doris Burrell. He was predeceased by two sisters, Edna Perry and Edith Henderson. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including his church family of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Largo, MD. James was the oldest child born to Harrold Burrell and Annie Mae Harrison Burrell of Washington, DC. He graduated from Cardozo High School, Washington, DC in 1948. James was a veteran of the Korean War and the Army National Guard of DC MP. Funeral services will be held at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1200 Mercantile Lane, Largo, MD 20774 on December 21. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. followed by Homegoing Celebration at 11 a.m. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements by RN Horton Co. Morticians Inc.
