JAMES BRADLEY CANTER  
James B. Canter, 75, of Viera, FL, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012. Jim was born on September 8, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Helen (Bradley) and James Canter. He was a resident of Washington, DC and Takoma Park, MD, until moving to Florida three years ago. Jim was a client service representative and worked for Acacia Insurance Company in Washington, DC for 37 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #453. Of all the things he loved to do, he enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and the beach the most. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Marsha; his children, John H. Canter of Hickory, NC, Diane McDonald of Kauai, HI, and Joseph B. (Greg Kubiak) Canter of Washington, DC; granddaughter, Elise McDonald; stepsons, Thomas (Jeanne), Joseph (Rebecca) and Robert (Lynn) Garver of Pittsburgh, PA, and step-grandchildren, Dana, Andrea, Richard, Gabrielle, Joseph, Autumn, Amber, Leslie, Allyson and Tara. A best friend to everyone, Jim will be missed dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held in College Park, MD on October 27, 2012 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #453, 3700 Metzerott Rd., from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his memory to the Brody Barry Fundraiser, c/o Jessica and Ed Barry, 140 Rene Dr., Glenshaw, PA 15116, or to the charity of your choice. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Beach Funeral Homes. I worked with Jim in Client Services. He was as such a fine person and always a delight to be around. God Bless and rest in peace.

Jim was a great guy; a loyal friend always. Dick and Jim shared many memories of "boys' beach trips" as well as a taste for Key Lime pie...After their various retirements they had very pleasant lunches together. My sympathy to his family on their loss.

I wish to express my condolences to the family and friends of Mr Canter. I know that your loss is great, but know that you are not alone and others care about your loss. Isaiah 40:29..He is giving the tired one power.

In the 29 years, I had with with Jim I could always depend on him to give me help. He never forgot that agent's lived on commissions and he was laweays there when I needed him. Wolf Galow and Jim gave us 110% all the time.
