A most worthy man and an intelligent interesting companion. I enjoyed the occasions of our meeting. Jim will be missed by more than his family.

When I say my dad's best friend, the only answer is Jim Churgin. He was an exceptional person, and we all are blessed to have known him. We are sorry for his passing.

I first met Jim and Irene upon moving to Kibbutz Ketura in 1997. It was a pleasure to get to know Neil's father and Yehoshua's grandfather, and to watch him become grandfather to Peri, Tani and Razi. Over the years I had the privilege to talk to and learn from this wise, loving, kind and humble man. Irene, Neil, Sharon and family - thank you for letting me share a wonderful parent and grandparent with you. I join you in your sorrow.
