Dear Clingenpeel family,
My sympathies and prayers to each of you. I am so sorry that Mr. Clingenpeel and each of you had to go through so much at the end of his life. It's very difficult to watch with someone you love.
Our family moved down the street from Mr. Clingenpeel the summer before I started 2nd grade. He was a sweet, generous man. I will always remember his broad smile, his hats, and what a gentleman he was. He was very kind to our family and wonderful to watch with children. He was a fine father-in-law to my sister and a terrific grandfather. He was especially kind to my mother in her latter years, which we all appreciated. It also meant alot that he always asked about my own family and children, and welcomed visits. I know you will all miss him deeply.
Sincerely,
Joan (Welden) Henry
