JAMES JACOBSEN Obituary
JAMES C. JACOBSEN
On Saturday, July 15, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jacobsen; children, Jennifer, Pamela and Roger (Betsy); grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Derek, and Anna; and sister, Lynne Suess. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m., at SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Research Foundation or the Sherwood Forest Camp. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at: Schrader.com

Went to school with Jimmy in Highland Park, IL. Knew his mom and grandmother. We spent a lot of time together after school. Very fond memories. Too late to get back together. Goodbye Jim!

I just learned of Jim's passing and want to express my sympathy to his family. I have been away from St. Louis for more than 20 years but worked both for and with Jim many years. He was a good man, with a good heart and he will be missed by many. My God bless.

I worked with Jim at Boys Hope Girls Hope St. Louis while he was our Board Treasurer. I've never met a more fascinating individual. He has lived in exotic places and met such incredible people. I never tired of hearing his stories. We shared the same political views as well as the same birthday. I will miss you dearly, Jim. God Bless you and your family.

It was a pleasure to work with Jim at Kellwood. I learned a lot from him about leadership in the work environment, and always enjoyed my conversations with him about travel, family and golf. My condolences to the Jacobsen family.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Dorothy, Jennifer, Pam and Roger. I'm thankful for Jim's mentoring of me while I worked for him at Kellwood Company and for encouraging me to join him in support of several outstanding charities. I have admired the Jacobsen's for their extraordinary generosity to worthy universities and poverty-fighting organizations. We remember and are thankful for Jim calling us with an invitation to join he and Dorothy at the Fox and other cultural events.
