JAMES JOHNSON Obituary
HONORABLE JAMES E. JOHNSON, PH.D "Johnny"
Former, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Chief Warrant Officer 2, USMC (retired), 90, died March 29, 2016. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife Juanita 2011, married for 62 years and son, Lt. Kenneth E. Johnson, USMC (1972). Johnson leaves behind children, Janice V. Cowperthwaite (Wes), Kurtis J. Johnson, Sr. (Lori) and Juan E. Johnson (Kimberly); 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visit JamesandJuanitaJohnson.wordpress.com for more information on Dr. Johnson. Services will be held September 2, 2016, 9 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery, Ft. Meyer Old Post Chapel, Arlington, Virginia. Johnson will be laid to rest in the Arlington National Cemetery next to his beloved wife. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Purple Heart Foundation or the Disabled Veterans of America. Condolences may be sent to Janice V. I met the Honorable James E Johnson and his assistant at a Business opportunities conference in 1997. I have been trying to find him many times and I just found this last night . I have never forgotten him. I was so excited to meet him and his assistant He encouraged me. I told him and his assistant that they reminded me of the angels in the book of Daniel. God's presence was awesome and I was so excited; I excitedly exclaimed What y'all came to bless me. He smiled and looked at his assistant and made a comment( looking at my over the top excitement). He signed and gave me a copy of his book Beyond Defeat; unfortunately I lost it after moving several times). I still have this awesome experience and memory as it is happening now. Thank you for blessing me forever

I recall hearing an interview of him on a radio broadcast (I believe it was "Messianic Vision" with Sid Roth) sometime back in the 1980's, which made me get a copy of his book, "Beyond Defeat" many years ago and was blessed by it. It's packed away right now, but now I want to take time to find it and read it again. God rest his soul and bless and keep his family until the Great Day of the Lord.
